 We are one of the largest communities in Australia. Given that Captain Cook first landed on our shores, we could well seek to claim the title of The First Community. The St George / Sutherland area accounts for some 22,000 businesses and over 160,000 households. We-R1's estimates put our income and economic activity worth at $11 Billion++ Dollars.
With a population and economic activity of this size, business and the community have to be better linked and informed. 22,000 businesses, which I would think in the main, have owners or principals that also live within the area. 22,000+ people with experience, business acumen and a wealth of information. Of course we must also include those households that have women and men in business roles who also posses valuable information that could greatly assist members within our community.
We-R1.org™ is a significant catalyst for CommUnity Building. Our Social Capital is great. Together, and if we take a small leap beyond our assumptions in early 2001, we can create more advantages for our community, that's businesses and householders, mum's, dad's and youth, to be better fulfilled. As our name indicates, 'We Are One Community'.
